From October 11 to 12, 2024, the "Third National Physical Education Teaching and Training Skills Demonstration Activity of College Physical Education Teachers" sponsored by the National Physical Education Teaching Steering Committee of Colleges and Universities and hosted by South China University of Technology was held in South China Technology, Guangzhou. A total of 214 elite physical education teachers from 103 universities including Peking University and Tsinghua University participated in the event, many of whom have won world champions, Olympic MEDALS, and retired national team players, and the competition is extremely fierce. The competition set up volleyball, dance and badminton three competitions, including teaching (guidance) design and practice, physical fitness test and special skills.
Led by Professor Shi Dongbo, our school sent Anning, Ren Kang and Feng Lipeng to participate in the volleyball and dance competitions. They won the third prize of volleyball middle-aged group and youth group, and the third prize of dancing youth group. The special skills of Anning teacher beat many young teachers who just retired, and won the top ten of "cushion ball passing"; Mr. Ren Kang won the third place in volleyball "Teaching (guidance) Design and Practice" with his solid teaching practice skills; Teacher Feng Lipeng got full marks in "physical fitness test".
This is a national high-level physical education teaching methods and concepts exchange event, is an important platform to show the style of contemporary college physical education teachers, promote the sharing of educational resources, promote the innovation and development of physical education teaching. Improving the quality of physical education is an important part of the implementation of the national "five education simultaneously". The college takes this competition as an opportunity to continuously improve the professional skills and teaching innovation ability of the teachers in learning and exchange, strengthen the ideological, spiritual and political guidance, and promote the construction of high-quality, professional and innovative physical education teachers and the high-quality development of physical education.
